Hi Susan

I could be wrong, but I have seen this in the following context:
- The issue usually arises when a web page is delivered over SSL/https while some elements that are embedded on the page (images, scripts) are delivered through http. In short, the html is transmitted securely over SSL while elements that make the page are not. - This is mainly a feature, if you can call it like that, that Internet Explorer introduced a while back. It is meant to improve security, but in my opinion, it creates a lot of confusion.

To overcome the problem, what we have done with the websites we build, is that we force all content to be delivered through https if the page is called from https.

Kind regards

Claude

Subject: [vicsireland] security warning

hi folks,

this last couple of days I have been getting this warning coming up all the time when I go on to the internet, not all websites though.

it says,
security warning button, yes button, no button, more info button. do you want to view only the web page content that was delivered securely? this web page contains content that will not be delivered using a htps connection which could compromise the security of the entire web page.

when I tab to the yes button and hit enter nothing happens, some times it even locks up.
why am I getting this? does any one else get this?
I have recently took off avast and now I'm using Microsoft Security essentials. could this have any thing to do with it? maybe i've down loaded it wrong or some thing.
many thanks
best wishes

Susan
