[vicsireland] file copying problem

Hi folks,
a friend recorded a radio programme online using total Recorder. It
recorded fine.
However, , when attempting to copy and paste it to a memory stick., he
got the following error message:
"cannot copy file as path is too deep."
He googled the message, but is no wiser.
The capacity of the memory stick is far greater than the size of the file
being copied.
I suppose he could copy it to a cd as an alternative?
any ideas?
