Codefactory, the Spanish company who develop the Mobile Speak product line (the competitor to Talks), have announced that the next version of their mobile screen reader will be compatible with touch screen mobile phones such as the Nokia N97. In addition, they say it will work on a wider range of handsets; those running the Symbian operating system (the ones we're currently used to), and those using Windows Mobile. It will also be possible to transfer the licence from one type of device to another, so if you buy a Symbian device now, and decide to replace it with a Windows Mobile device sometime in the future, you'll be able to bring your screen reader with you. The below press release gives more information on the product, which is due for launch at the beginning of 2010. Interesting stuff... Ciaran What is Mobile Speak 4?
