hi. i'm not an electrical engineer. but, i think it would be worse to
keep the kindle plugged in all the time or overcharging.

on the other hand, perhaps discharge the battery fully before putting
in long-term storage.
or, just pulling it out every once in awhile just to crank through the
electrical routes in the device.
