Hi Iona I do consider that correction. In my opinion it really does not matter who makes the correction action- the end result is the same. In my case, I developed a cue phrase for Thane because with my limited grip, I can't help it if he gets going with too hard of a pull- I lose my grip. I can say the words as his pull is getting harder for me to hold onto the handle and 9 times out of 10 now, he will correct his gait for me so that I don't wind up losing my grip or need to do a backtracking square. I had to figure something out that worked for us to limit this occurence. Thane's gait is not always perfect, but a lot of that happens now if we don't get out enough or if I get too enthusiastic in my praise of something he did that was so right on. Karyn and Thane
