I have tried it a few times but each time i have to delete my gmail acount and 
sign in again cos wen you clear the data the phone will not do any app updates 
you get an error message.
Could you check in about phone then base band version to see what your’s says.

Hi everyone, not sure if anyone else can help Michael here?

The only thing I can find is a suggestion to go to:
Settings > Apps > All > Google Services Framework 

Then Clear data

One suggestion said to try an update after that, another person said to reboot 
the phone after clearing the data then try to check for updates.

I can't remember if you tried this already though?
