Hi everyone, not sure if anyone else can help Michael here?
The only thing I can find is a suggestion to go to:
Settings > Apps > All > Google Services Framework
Then Clear data
One suggestion said to try an update after that, another person said to
reboot the phone after clearing the data then try to check for updates.
I can't remember if you tried this already though?
