Those of you who are, or want to be, wildlife gardeners might be interested
in this notice that I read in the Town of Vienna newsletter:

Tree and Shrub Seedlings For Sale: The Northern Virginia Soil and Water
Conservation District (NVSWCD) is conducting its annual seedling
sale. Each seedling package costs $16.95 and contains 14 bare root shrubs
and trees: Common Witch Hazel, Spice Bush, Eastern Redbud, Silky Dogwood,
and Graystem Dogwood (two seedlings each) and Shortleaf Pine (four seedlings).
Pre-paid orders must be placed by April 1. For more information or to
receive an order form, call NVSWCD at 703-324-1460, e-mail
<conservationdistrict@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, or download an order form at
www.fairfaxcounty.gov/nvswcd/seedlingsale2003.htm
Purchasers will receive a confirmation receipt and a map to the pickup
site. The seedlings will be available for pickup April 11 and 12.
