Darby Colwell asked a question about the eagles nesting near the Woodrow =
Wilson Bridge project, my friend who works for the construction manager =
provided me with this comment,=20

"There is a bald eagle pair nesting on the MD side near the Woodrow
Wilson Bridge. Several young have been spotted over the last couple of
seasons. Our environmental folks keep track of numbers and get photos =
when
possible. Ironically, the pair has moved closer to the construction and
sometime use cranes as a perch for fishing in the Potomac. They appear =
to
have adapted well to the construction - better than some of the =
motorists."
I guess that the answer to Darby is that there are no plans to stop the =
project at this time, as long as they don't seem to mind their =
neighbors.=20
