The cool, windy weather with a little rain overnight has increased patronage
to the feeder here, and a Yellow-breasted Chat has spent all morning, in
company with a new (7th) Baltimore Oriole [brightest one of the bunch; up to
five
at once this morning], a Red Fox Sparrow, a Brown Thrasher eating earthworms,
the same Dickcissel, a Purple Finch, a Pine Siskin, and the elusive Archilochus
hummingbird that rarely perches. A second low-pressure system with
precipitation is supposed to skirt to our north this weekend, but otherwise it
should
be windy but rain-free on Saturday and Sunday.
