Migrating birds at Riverbend Park meadow (Fairfax Cty) were not very
plentiful this Wednesday morning, but John Callow, Jack Wright and I saw two
individual Lincoln Sparrows along the meadow trail that veers to the left and
passes
the small pond.
While they were still observing the first bird sighted, I found the second
bird further down the trail which they also observed shortly thereafter. Jack
noted that we had seen all three of our Melospiza Sparrows this morning, Song
and Swamp being the other two.
.
Warblers seen today were Nashville, Black and White, Magnolia, Black-throated
Green, Parula, the ubiquitous Yellow-throats, and possibly a Tennessee seen
very briefly.
