Hello all
This morning which turned out to be a very good day weather & bird wise . Tom
Pendleton , Pat Larner & I ( Allen Larner ) went on a bird walk -- drive into
the Swoope area & the Augusta Wetlands . From 8 : 30 to about 1 : 30 we had a
list of 73 species of birds . This included 8 species of Raptor's with the
Highlight of 2 adult Bald Eagles , 9 species of Warblers with the Highlight of
a Morning Warbler . When we got over to Smith's Pond to our surprise the pond
was drained leaving about 90 % mud flats . Only if we had a good rain last
night . What species of Shorebirds we could of counted on ( wishful thinking )
? Any way here is the list of birds seen today .
