I had a flock of 29 robins and 1 cedar waxwing come through the yard on the
17th of this month. The ground was snow covered and it was very cold. They
stayed in the tree for a while being joined by a bluejay and a couple of
brown-headed cowbirds. Later that day, I noticed some other groups of
robins flying over and in the treeline around our pasture. When we were in
North Carolina(Raleigh) last weekend, I noticed quite a few robins. I guess
they are doing ok even in the cold weather that has hit the south.

I would not worry too much about the American Robins. A whole group cameinto
my garden to BATHE in the freezing water of my little pond yesterdayRed-winged
(Annandale, Fairfax County). Also some European Starlings and some
