Hello everyone,
I have been seeing postings of Purple Finches in Va. and went to my parents
house in Amherst Co. and low and behold
they had Purple Finches. I saw 5 females and 1 male. I told them to keep an eye
on their feeders.
I was at Mill Creek Lake this past Sun.
and saw 2 Great Egrets , 6 Wilson's Snipe
and 1 Dunlin in winter plumage. I had never
seen Dunlin in winter plumage before. I went back the next day and the Dunlin
was not to be seen but the Egrets were still there.
