Birders,
Whoops! Forgot to list the several Ovenbirds and Northern Parulas singing
along the road into the park, plus a male Red-winged Blackbird at the
birdfeeders.
Interesting note: When they first arrived (back in mid to late March), the
Ovenbirds were mostly nearer to the intersection of High Point Road and
Gunston Road (and thus the Mason Neck NWR) than to the Mason Neck SP. This
weekend and week they've been closer to the state park's main visiting area.
Still singing though!
