Five members of NVBC visited Leesylvania State Park this morning, and got in
an hour's birding (after an atrociously late start of 8.30!) before we were
all drowned in a downpour.
After a break for coffee and hot chocolate, the rain stopped and we returned
to the Julia Metz Wetlands for a further hour. Main species of interest were a
Red-headed Woodpecker, a Yellow-throated Vireo and 4-6 (early) Golden-crowned
Kinglets.
