Hello Bird Watchers,
I spent the day in Russell County above 4000 ft elevation looking for Golden
Eagles. I observed three, one juvenile, two basic 1s. Today they mostly were
scavengers feeding off of deer carcass'. It made for some great looks hunkered
down behind a ridgetop watching them feed. Two adult Red-tailed hawks and one
adult male American Kestrel were also seen. A bitter cold day at that
elevation but well worth the freeze.
