Greetings,
Yesterday afternoon, at the Prince William Landfill, I found a first winter
Glaucous Gull, probably the same bird that Sue Heath, Jon Little, and I saw
on Feb. 5. The bird was posing nicely atop the dirt piles. Also noted were:
Lesser Black-backed Gull (1 adult), the mystery gull (LBBG x Herring Hybrid
?) that Stephen Eccles and I saw on Feb. 19, and an odd sighting for me-a
Great Black-backed Gull wolfing down a E. Starling. No shortage of starlings
there!
