Twice today we had short visits by a Fox Sparrow in our Arlington back yard.
This afternoon around 5 PM at Long Branch Nature Center, a small group of six
or so Eastern Phoebes was in the area near the parking. Three Mallards were
visiting the small pond near the former hospital facility. Incidentally, during
the warm weather earlier in the week, the Peepers were singing loudly early in
the night. And I'm told that the first salamander egg masses have turned up.
