Hello VA-Birders,
Today was a very pleasant morning for the weekly bird walk at Dyke Marsh.
Several good birds were observed, including a young PROTHONOTARY WARBLER at the
beginning of Haul Road, two flyover WOOD DUCKS, a migrant WHITE-EYED VIREO at
the bend, several MARSH WRENS, and two BROWN THRASHERS.
I took a peek before the walk started, and I was able to find a cooperative
LEAST BITTERN among the reeds in the marshy area to the right of Haul Road
after the bend. Unfortunately, it did not show itself for the group later.
The list is below. I look forward to seeing everyone on future walks!
