A great morning in the yard today with 12 species of warblers,
highlighted by a WILSON'S WARBLER. Other warblers included several
BLACK-AND-WHITES, BLACK-THROATED GREEN, CHESTNUT-SIDED, several
MAGNOLIAS, PRAIRIE, YELLOW, YELLOW-RUMPED, several NORTHERN PARULAS,
COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT and OVENBIRD. Other
highlights were a stunning male ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK singing his sweet
song from an oak tree and a male SUMMER TANAGER trying his best to top
him. A late DARK-EYED JUNCO was a surprise. Haven't seen one of those
in weeks. Spring is awesome. Good birding.
