A group of 12 birders attended the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy's regular bird
walk at the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship in NW Loudoun Co.
In spite of a slow start due to heavy fog, we found a total of 43 species.
Ironically though, some of the best birds were found during the foggy period.
Surprising was the shortage of sparrows, but the vireos and thrushes added much
to the day, as did a fair showing of raptors as we quit.
