Gentle Readers,
Mike Ready and Harry Glasgow led the Monday Morning Birdwalk at Huntley Meadows
Park this morning, September 5, 2005, from 0715 until 0945. The sky was sunny,
the temperature was warm, and the winds were calm. The highlights of the walk
were Blue Grosbeaks and Baltimore Orioles.
Under the heading of "Don't shoot the messenger," two Red-breasted Nuthatch
were not observed by Harry Glasgow who said that, "A reliable birder observed
the birds."

Huntley Meadows Park can be reached from the Beltway by driving south on US
Route 1 approximately three miles to Lockheed Boulevard. Turn right on
Lockheed Boulevard and proceed to the intersection of Lockheed and Harrison
Lane. The Park entrance is on the left.
The regularly scheduled Monday Morning Birdwalk is open to all; the group meets
at 0700 in the Visitor's Center Parking Lot.
