Thirteen people participated in the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy's bird walk at
the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship (BRCES) in northwestern
Loudoun County this morning, March 26. The highlights of the 41 bird species
seen included a couple of Turkeys, 4 Brown Creepers, 5 Fox Sparrows, and 3
Eastern Meadowlarks. We first walked the Farmstead Loop taking the Piney Run
spur and then a smaller group walked a short loop on the south side of the 900
acre preserve.
The new BRCES Executive Director, Kara Ball and new Conservation Intern, Laurel
Woodworth joined us.
