Family resemblance, hm? ::grins:: And here I thought all Romulans look alike.
Maybe it's that strange haircut that gets me confused. ;-)

Subject: [USS Athena] Barriers

:ON:

The moment Jazzy had stormed out of the conference room, she almost ran
over a young officer who had been standing just outside.
"Excuse me Captain Mergahn. I'm Lt. Evans, quartermaster here. Admiral
Oren requested that I find you temporary quarters."
Jazzy eyed the Lieutenant for a moment. "I have no need of quarters. I
don't plan on staying that long. I will be aboard the Toira." With that she
headed away from the conference room filled with the arrogant Admiralty.
"Captain, I have orders that you may not leave the base." Lt Evans said,
following Jazzy.
"As do I Lieutenant. The Toira will not leave without permission."
"My orders are to assign you temporary quarters Captain." Evans, almost
having to run to keep up with Jazzy.
"Then assign them. I will not use them."
"Admiral Oren" Evans started to say before he had to quickly stop
walking, as Jazzy had stopped, and turned around facing him, trying to keep
control of her temper.
"The Admiral will know where to find me Lt. Unless my ship is being
confiscated from me, that is where I will be. If you have a problem with that,
go talk to Admiral Oren." With that she strode off again leaving the young
Lieutenant standing there, unsure of what to do.
Jazzy finally sat down in one of the chairs in the living compartment of
the Toira after having several more arguments with base officers on where she
should be staying. Two security officers had tried to bar her way onto the
Toira, stating that she was not permitted to leave the base. Only have twenty
minutes of arguing did they finally concede to the fact that being on the Toira
did not constitute leaving the base.
Jazzy tried to open up a communication link with the Athena, only to find
that Communications were being jammed. "Just great," she muttered in response.
Who knew when she'd be able to leave the base and return to things that really
mattered. She decided to open a personal log.
After the computer beeps chimed that the log was being recorded, Jazzy
started.
"I am currently on . . . well, I'm not sure where, a base, unknown to even
Starfleet databases, at coordinates, hmm, they probably don't want the
coordinates recorded, I'll just say somewhere in the Rihannsu / Federation
neutral zone. I am not being allowed to leave the base at this time, and am
unsure when I will get back to the Athena. Now was a REALLY bad time for
Starfleet to pull me away from the Beta Quadrant. I was assigned to the Athena
mostly for my diplomacy, and we are in a very touchy negotiations with the
Starzen. I'm sure that Erei'riov Ronov is more then capable of running the
Athena, but delicate negotiations are not one of his strong points. Lt. Svonn
should be able to assist in that matter, but I really should be the one talking
with the Starzen. Ronov has troubles dealing with the CMO, Noah--"
Jazzy stopped at the thought of Noah, and suddenly it hit her who that
Rihannsu Enriov in the conference room reminded her of. Not Noah, even though
there was definitely a family resemblance, but rather his brother, Commodore
Lukas. She paused the recording and opened up the Starfleet bios, looking at
Lukas' in particular. After doing some more digging around she finally found
out the name of one of the Enriovs, Rohnok, Lukas' cousin. Maybe she should
try to have a private chat with the Enriov. Not that he'd really listen to
her, but, at the point it couldn't hurt her situation. Though, she'd have to
make it look like an accidental meeting.
As she exited the Toira one of the security officers who had tried to bar
her entrance to the ship called out, "Captain, may I ask where you are going?"
She stopped and turned around, "First you try to stop me from getting on,
now you want to stop me from leaving? Well, I'm going to go find Lt. Evans.
Since it appears I will be here for a while, there are some items I will need."
With that she turned and headed out of the bay, to explore the base. She
first needed a private spot where she wouldn't be interupted and where she
would have access to the base computers. It took her a little while, and a lot
of answering questions, but she finally found a spot. Now she just needed to
locate Enriov Rohnok. It wouldn't hurt to locate Lt. Evans too, as he was a
good excuse to give people as to where she was going.
