earbirding.com is chock full of resources; not necessarily "really super
basic beginning" resources, but if bird sounds are something you are
interested in, there is a lot that can be learned there.

On the right-side column there is a heading called "Listening Links" that
has links to a bunch of different sources of bird recordings. If I were to
suggest one source for our area, I would say go to the one called
"Dendroica." It has most/all of our species, and it has a lot of songs as
well as photos that you can very easily click on and listen to on your
computer.

If you have any digital recordings that you want to share, you can put them
on a website and send us a link, or send them to me and I'll put them on a
website with a link. In any case, or If no digital files, it would just be
fun to get together with whoever wants to to listen to your recordings and
try to figure out what they are.

I'm hearing more and more birds tuning up and actually singing!
