Hi Rich,

Because of a hint in Mac OS X, that give the CD/DVD drive no constantly name if you mount other volumes before insert a CD/DVD.

i.e.

1. You have insert a CD/DVD and not mounted any other drive (exclusively Startup volume) such as Disk images, your drive names

/dev/disk1

2. You have mount a other volume (i.e. a disk image) and insert the CD/DVD, the drive names

/dev/disk2 (...3,4,5,...)

The tool "disktool" needs a drive name for eject a volume but the tool

"drutil eject"

find the CD/DVD drive by self and eject it. If you know how, it were good, if you insert this in UAE. So we have no longer problems that people forget to eject their CDs/DVDs before starting UAE with SCSI on Mac OS X.

greets Jens
