Hi Richard,
I have attached both patches I send recently. One is a fix for amd64 and
the other is the gtkui.c partial improvements.
Feel free to tell me if there are problems with the gtkui.c changes. I'm
no gtk+ expert and I have done this partly as a learning exercise.
