[u3aavcuss] Copying Photos to CD

I have been scanning my old slides on to the computer and then putting them in
some sort of order
and numbering from 1-60.When I copied them onto a CD and played on my DVD
player they were in perfect order.
When I gave the CD to my sister to put on her computer the pictures came out in
all sorts of order.
Can you explain why and have I done something wrong?
And how can I stop it happening again.
Someone has mentioned "Finalising the disc"
What is this and how do I do it?
Hoping someone can help me
