Mike, I have version 8 (which I downloaded with your help some months ago). On switching on tonight all is now fine!! I am wondering if there is, or has been, a problem at AVG. To find current version: a.. Right click on the AVG icon in the taskbar (right hand side) b.. Click on Open AVG user interface c.. Click on the Help menu tab d.. Click 'about AVG' --à version number. Get version 8.0 from: http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-virus-free-edition (and select the Download button at the bottom of a column marked 'AVG Free') If you are already on 8.0 then we'll have to think again!
