[triadtechtalk] Sloooooooooow Computer

Hello learned ones
Time again to pick your brains. I'm running XP Home, with plenty of disc
space, and 512 mem.Here are the symptoms: When I click on "My Computer,"
"IE," "Control Panel," "My Documents," and any number of others, the
response time is generally about 11 seconds. Once I'm *in* any of those,
everything's normal.
No spyware, no trojans, no viruses. On safe mode, all of the above (except
IE of course) respond instantly. When I uncheck "Load Startup items" on
msconfig, problem still remains. When I *Unchecked* "Load System Services"
everything was perfect.
Any ideas as what to do next? Any and all help would be appreciated.
