While idling away the time after the Xmastime stress, I came across this website - http://www.gtw64.co.uk/
An interesting compilation of unreleased and lost C64 games and the search for old copies to restore some lost games. Since this is a UK site I suspect most of the games are PAL.
Scrolling down the page a bit you will come to "Chutes and Ladders". and will see that this entry was submitted but Syd Bolton. Clicking on the link will take you to the Personal Computer Museum where you can read about the game (it's NTSC) and download a copy.
Looks like an interesting kid's game but since I've always liked "Snakes and ladders" I won't be embarrassed to try it.
