Speaking of Zork,
someone actually created a Zork Slackbot for Slack. You can have regular
conversations and then randomly insert Zork commands and have it execute
based on where you are in the game. Can become a channel group Zork
effort.

BTW I wrote a text adventure in infocom style. it runs on pc
Mac and Linux.
