Judy Fuson, Carol Williams, and I did some butterflying in northeastern Lincoln
County today as part of the butterfly foray, and had the following (which would
have made a good contribution toward a NABA count, if we had had others to take
part in such an event):

Silver-spotted Skipper 7 (BAMONA photo)
Hoary Edge 1
Horace's Duskywing 2 (BAMONA photo)
Sachem 15 (BAMONA photo)
Dun Skipper 2 (BAMONA photo)
Pipevine Swallowtail 2 (BAMONA photo)
Black Swallowtail 1 (BAMONA photo)
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail 12 (BAMONA photo)
Spicebush Swallowtail 2
Cabbage White 107 (BAMONA photo)
Clouded Sulphur 3
Juniper Hairstreak 1 (BAMONA photo)
Gray Hairstreak 1 (BAMONA photo)
Eastern Tailed-Blue 9 (BAMONA photo)
Summer Azure 4 (BAMONA photo)
American Snout 208 (BAMONA photo)
Monarch 5 (BAMONA photo)
Variegated Fritillary 6
Great Spangled Fritillary 4
Pearl Crescent 106 (BAMONA photo)
Question Mark 7 (BAMONA photo)
E. Comma 2 (BAMONA photo)
Common Buckeye 4 (BAMONA photo)
Red Admiral 2 (BAMONA photo)
Red-spotted Purple 11 (BAMONA photo)
Hackberry Emperor 7 (BAMONA photo)
Tawny Emperor 13 (BAMONA photo)
Carolina Satyr 1 (BAMONA photo)

Total Individuals: 535; Total Species: 28

If all the photos turn out to be usable, then we had 23 county records today.
That would bring the Lincoln County butterfly list at BAMONA up to 29.

Hope all those taking part in the foray do as well during the rest of the foray
week-end.

Good butterfly counting, Steve
