I've processed my own photos and the ones that came to me from Carol Williams and Judy Fuson from last Friday in Lincoln County, finding documentation-quality photos for 22 species not heretofore on the butterfly list at BAMONA for that county, as follows: Silver-spotted Skipper (JF photo) Horace's Duskywing (JF photo) Sachem (JF photo) Dun Skipper (SJS photo) Pipevine Swallowtail (SJS photo) Black Swallowtail (JCF photo) Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (JF photo) Cabbage White (JF photo) Gray Hairstreak (CW photo) Eastern Tailed-Blue (JF photo) American Snout (JF photo) Monarch (JF photo) Pearl Crescent (JF photo) Question Mark (JF photo) Eastern Comma (CW photo) Common Buckeye (CW photo) Red Admiral (JF photo) Red-spotted Purple (JF photo) Viceroy (JF photo) Hackberry Emperor (SJS photo) Tawny Emperor (JF photo) Carolina Satyr (CW photo) It's possible that a photo of Juniper Hairstreak will be forthcoming and add one more county record to our total; at least I hope so. A photo of Summer Azure was not of sufficient quality to be identifiable, or it, too, would have been a county record. We also obtained photos of three species already on the county list, Clouded Sulphur, Variegated Frit, and Great Spangled Frit. And we saw Hoary Edge and Spicebush Swallowtail, but could not get usable photos of either. The Viceroy listed above was not on my original list from last Friday. So we had 29 species that day, which was very hot in the PM part of our effort. Steve Stedman Cookeville, Putnam County
