I sent photos of putative TN Hickory Hairstreaks to Paul Opler, who in turn
sent them to Robert Robbins, with the following result (below). Our collective
agony over hickory hairstreak in tn unhappily continues.

both appear to be pretty typical calanus.

eventually, someone will catch a caryaevorus in tn.

Hi Steve,

The first one seems to me to be a good S. calanus falacer, but the second one
might be an S. caryaevorus. I've copied Dr. Robert Robbins with this to see
what his opinion might be on these.

Paul

Hi Paul,

I’ve received a couple of photos of possible S. caryaevorum. Please have a
look and see what you think. If you wish to forward to others, please copy me
so I know who is looking at these.

Thanks, Steve
