Hi everyone,
Can you believe it? It's count time! This Saturday, April 11, will be the
Clifton Bend Spring count. We will meet at Carroll Cabin Barrens State Natural
Area parking lot at 9:30. The forecast as of now is for mostly sunny
conditions with a high of 73 degrees, perfect. This count typically gives you
good chances to see Falcate Orangetips, Henry's Elfin, Juniper Hairstreak,
Goatweed Leafwing, Sleepy Duskywing, Pepper and Salt Skipper, and possibly
Eastern Pine Elfin and Cobweb Skipper. Since spring has been so late this
year, the numbers may be down, but the bugs that are flying should be fresh.

Since this is a seasonal count, it requires a minimum of 4 observers and 6
party-hours, so please let me know if you plan on attending. As always, there
is a $3 fee to NABA. If the forecast changes and we have rain, there will be
no makeup date.

See you Saturday for a great spring day!
