Intermittently overcast skies kept the number of butterflies low this afternoon at Melton Hill Dam Park, in Loudon County. The only new BAMONA record I was able to photograph was a Delaware Skipper that had been struck by a vehicle: Dorsal: http://i972.photobucket.com/albums/ae204/DougLepidoptera/Loudon_Co/BFLYAGRdelawareskipperMHDPLoudon-1.jpg Ventral (same individual): http://i972.photobucket.com/albums/ae204/DougLepidoptera/Loudon_Co/BFLYAGRdelawareskipperMHDPLoudonCoT.jpg Additionally, I saw scores of Eastern Tailed-blues, 8-10 American Snouts, 8-10 Great Spangled Fritillaries, a couple of Sulphurs, and one probable Meadow Fritillary.
