Mack Prichard picked me up today to go looking for the snowy owl.
 
We drove all around and ended up on the "turn out"  right across from  
Rippavilla. About 4:15, a huge white bird was flying right toward us, banked  
to the 
right and disappeared behind a big red barn. Such a thrill. We got  great 
looks at her/him along with a group of about 8 other birders.
 
A man in a pickup truck stopped to find out what all these people were  
looking for every day!
