Content-type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-1" Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable I emailed Charles Dean about his photo of an adult with Sandhills - I don't know of one with an immature. A new issue in the WHCR/SACR hunter confusion possibilities, is that the Eastern Partnership for the WHCR is using a direct release method now - immature birds traveling together without parents and without SACR. The 3 that were killed in GA were one of these ne= w groups. The shot birds were found by hunters, so the area they were killed in is an area where there is legal hunting of something. This is a photo a snatched off the internet. Perhaps the Operation Migration folks have a photo of a bird this age that we can use to illustrate the potential for confusion.
