Lots of migrants moving through tonight. We've been hearing lots of birds calling as they pass over the house tonight. We live at the tail end of Black Oak Ridge in west Knox Co. I've been trying to learn some of the nocturnal calls using the OldBird CD (www.oldbird.com). The most common migrant tonight are definitely thrushes... probably Swainson's. They're coming through in waves, sometimes getting 10 or more calls in a minute. Have heard several other calls but haven't been able to ID any more yet... well, except for the Barred Owl.
