I birded at monsanto ponds here in Columbia today. Seen or heard were
the following:

20 great egrets
30+ great blue heron
10 wood ducks
7 green heron
1 black crowned night heron
2 canada geese
1 semipalmated sandpiper
3 killdeer
2 carolina wren
several indigo bunting
3 summer tanager
several barn swallows
several tree swallows
2 eastern kingbirds
4 bluebirds
3 crows
several mourning doves
1 bluejay
1 downey woodpecker
1 great crested flycatcher
1 turkey
also heard in the distance was a barred owl.

On a side note, we observed a green heron only 20 feet away. While we
watched it for about 15 minutes, we saw it eat several dragonflies. It
was really neat to see this bird stalking dragonflies.
