Hi folks,

The summer bird banding at Tremont continues to be up and down. Last
week, June 14, was an average day, while today, June 20, was another
slow day. Here are the numbers:

For Wednesday, June 14, we captured a total of 13 birds, including:
6 Louisiana Waterthrush (including 1 recapture)
1 Eastern Phoebe (a recapture)
1 Black-throated Green Warbler
1 Black-and-white Warbler
1 Acadian Flycatcher
1 Red-eyed Vireo
1 Carolina Wren
1 American Robin

Today we captured:
2 Louisiana Waterthrush
2 Black-throated Green Warbler (including recapturing the one from
last week)
1 Hooded Warbler
1 Carolina Wren

While 19 captures is slow for 2 days, it was nice to have nine
different species.

The Robin was our 11th in 6.5 seasons. We have caught nine
Black-throated Green Warblers over that same time, and 2006 is now
our best year so far for that species.

Charlie
