[TN-Bird] Whooping Crane, Sightings Report 25 Nov 07, Hatchie NWR, Haywood Cty

Location:     Hatchie National Wildlife Refuge
Observation date:     11/25/07,150-350pm

Notes:     Jerry McKenna reported to me yesterday about a Whooping Crane at
the NWR. I had to visit, bad weather and all. Cold rain constant drizzle,
heavy fog. Reported Crane to Crane Migration Group. The bands(radio bands)
report it to be "DAR 46-07".

Turkeys seen in the field south of visiter center on edge of corn field.

BW Teal seen no picts though, 1 hen and 1 drake. Drake had white facial
Crescent showing. Halfway between eclipse and basic plumage both birds
flapped wings a couple of times and the blue/gray wing patches cemented ID.

Only one Snow Goose is confirmed White Morph. Other two reported are Hybrids
of some sort probably not even snows.
