Walter S. Davis Blvd Marsh Davidson Co. Nashville, TN 2011 May 31 7 am clear and warm. This Tuesday morning I briefly stopped at the Walter S. Davis Blvd Marsh on my way to work at TSU, looking for possible BANK SWALLOWs, but I did NOT find any. The heat over Memorial Day weekend has caused the water level in the marsh to rapidly decrease. Another week or two at most and the small lake area will be dry. However, the reduced water levels were good for heron food searching. This morning I saw a GREAT BLUE HERON, 3 GREEN HERONs, and an adult YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON looking for breakfast.
