Scott I have had this same experience on our spot-map study plot on Frozen Head this spring. I've gotten a visual on the bird to confirm that it is a Yellow-throated Vireo but he'll only sing like a YTVI on occasion. The rest of the time he sounds like a weary Blue-headed.
