Friends,
Late yesterday, while working in our garden, I heard a Great Horned Owl
off and on over a period of 30 minutes. We regularly hear and see Barred
and Schreech, but it has been 3 years since we have heard or seen a Great
Horned on our property.
Last Sunday evening there was a Chuck-will's Widow calling from a small
copse of woods in Stewart Heights, Chattanooga near our son's house. We
live surrounded by woods in Marion County and a hoped-for bird is The Chuck-
will, but have never heard or seen one, but there in the middle of
Chattanooga one shows up!
