Jeff Wilson just called to report a Thayer's Gull in the Pickwick Dam area. He had the bird late this afternoon, and is planning to try and get photos of the bird tomorrow. Jeff said it was a "classic" 1st-winter bird, not presenting as much of an ID-challenge as some Thayer's can. Jeff said there were very few gulls, or ducks, in the area. I wish I could get up there, but have to work all weekend. Good luck to anyone that is going up for the winter meeting, or just for the Thayer's. Good birding!!
