I have a blue bird box with four eggs and a mama bird on it. I feed meal worms
every morning. I also have a robin nest not too far away with four BIG babies
in it and they cherp all the time. I had noticed the blue birds were eating
the worms very quickly. Then yesterday I turned around just in time to see the
mama robin gathering the worms in her beak! I grabbed a stick and waved it at
her and she grabbed more worms and flew to her nest. The blue birds finally
got a worm or two but the robin tried to run them off the top of the box
where I had placed the worms. I just hoped nobody was watchiing the "crazy
woman" chasing a robin with a stick. Later I went to the box but had no worms
and she appeared immediately which just proves she was watching me!
