Sightings Report 28 Nov 06, Ensley Bottoms area, Memphis, Shelby County
 

Location: Riverport Rd Ponds / Swamp

Observation date:     11/28/06, 120-140pm

Notes:      Rainy day and cool, ducks moving all around the ponds and
slough.

Number of species:     7

Observation date:     11/28/06,140-205pm

Notes:      Rainy Weather had all the ducks down and more coming in. Huge
float of Scaup, largest I've seen this year. Mergansers were scattered in
groups of 2 & 3. Cormorants all sitting on back side of the big pond as well
as the Gulls. Coots, Ring-necks and Red heads and a couple of the Scaup were
in closer to the reeds along with the Grebes. Cooler weather on the way may
bring even more birds later this week.
